Labor Day weekend. Had to get out and explore Arizona! We drove northeast through the Tonto National Forest to Apache Lake. We had a fun swim and picnic. It was a pretty amazing drive. Wilderness doesn't get much wilder than this.
It wasn't too hot, the temperatures are going down, thankfully. Yes, there were lots of boats and other people. We just found a nice quiet spot to swim.
I found a collection of goofy faces on my phone. I thought my children would appreciate it if I shared them. We tried some look-alikes at dinner. And this one: These faces were natural reactions to the kale salad I made. This one is a product of hours of practice. This one is brought to you by Star Wars. This one was part of a birthday celebration.
Beautiful pictures. Was the temperature hot? Were there any other humans at the lake?
