Soldier Hallow

Image
Today was Ephraim's work party for one of his jobs, and his last day of work with that company. Best last day ever. We had fun tubing all together. Hint if you go, lane 2 is the fastest ;) Thanks, Valeo!

BYU Dive Meet

Image
Last Saturday we went to a BYU swimming and diving meet. It was so exciting! I took a diving class here as a freshman, so it brought back good memories of spinning through the air and overcoming lots of fear. These divers were amazing!! I love living close to such cool free events.

Sushi Burrito at Chiba Sushi

Image
What is a sushi burrito? It's a burrito-sized sushi roll that you eat with your hands. So American, right? Mega size, no utensils, shove it in your mouth, use lots of napkins. It's was delicious. My pics aren't good, but you can check out chibasushiaf.com Oishi!!

Cool Kid

Mr. Cool Kid found a pair of Aunt Rachel's cool shoes and they transformed him into Mr. SuperCool Kid.

Inventor

It was dress like your dream career day at school. We got an inventor in the making here.

Haircut

Image
It was about time for a haircut. But I was sad to see all that beautiful blond hair go.

Oh Say It Again!

"Mama, you're my best friend ever." So happy with this little guy.

Pho Good

Image
Ephraim's been trying out Pho' places: Pho Plus, Pho Number 1, etc. (You know you can trust an Asian restaurant if it has a strange, generic name.) This was Pho Plus. I loved the cilantro, basil, and bean sprouts. Mmm. The kids didn't enjoy the food, but loved the fortune cookies. We keep hearing how astonishingly successful our son will be:)

Up the Nose

Image
Yesterday this little dude was complaining about his nose hurting.  After awhile we asked more about it, and he told us he'd put a Lego piece up his nose! We shined a flashlight and confirmed there was indeed something foreign up his nose.  We tried the block-a-nostril-blow-through-the-mouth trick, and it didn't work.  So I made an appointment with our doctor.  (There's a neat tropical fish tank in the waiting room.) He couldn't get it out, so he sent us to the ENT in the office upstairs. The ENT sprayed some numbing spray then extracted the "object" with a long, skinny hook thing. Turns out, it wasn't a Lego, but a small craft googly, wiggle eye covered in snot and blood.  What?! How?!  Why?? Oh well, at least it came out alright. On the ride home he said, "I don't like googly eyes!  They're scary!"

Christmas Break

We loved Christmas Break! Cousins, treats, toys, and lots of fun! We're so lucky to live where people come to visit.
