We are park enthusiasts. We were happy to hear about this great one in Westlake area. Impressive climbing pyramid, kinetic spinning stuff and a cool digital interactive structure. Our new fave!
Today we visited the grave of my little sister Robyn. We talked about her life filled with difficulties and disabilities. She bravely chose this life and gracefully lived it. She could do very little for herself, but in doing little she taught me so much. I learned to serve without reward or praise and to love unconditionally. Her death was a great lesson about life for me as a 12 year old. During some rough patches in my youth, knowing she was in heaven kept me focused on staying on the path to join her. I have felt her calm and sweet influence in my life. I'm excited to meet her again someday and see the vibrant Fillmore girl she really is.

I ran with my good buddy Christine from American Samoa. She got me through the race then I sprinted ahead at the end and finished 1 second ahead. I beat my past time by like 5 seconds. Just glad to be running!
On Mother's Day I wore a few special items. First, I wore one of my mothers dresses to honor her for Mother's Day. It's sort of a tradition my sisters started. It's fun to wear ones we would never usually wear. I around my neck I wore a special medallion. On Mother's Day I received the Young Womenhood Recognition medallion for completing the Personal Progress program. I completed a bunch of requirements and eight 10-hour projects. Girls usually do this when they are teenagers, but as a youth leader I was allowed to do the program with them. I really enjoyed it, and it was especially cool that my mom has been here to sign off my goals and watch my progress. Great day!
My mom and I had a nice evening out for Mother's Day. We explored the gardens at thanksgiving point, enjoyed the tulips in bloom, and caught part of a symphony before the rain chased us away. We topped off the night perfectly with frozen custard. It was so nice to spend time with my mom who is my example of great motherhood. It was a nice Mother's Day gift.
Little Wolf Cub worked hard on his car. He designed it, painted it, and installed the weights. Grandpa helped cut it and put on the wheels. It's named "Black Lightning". It wasn't the fastest at the derby, but we learned a lot from making it, and he loves his little car, so what more could you want?
