I Love to See the Temples

Nobody appreciates my beat-boxing!

We went to the Payson Temple Open house this week, and then we drove to the Payson cemetery where we found the headstones of my great-grandma and great-grandpa, Harriet and Lewis Wride.  We took a 4 generation photo to commemorate it.  We were just missing my Grandma Gwen.  (She's buried in Spanish Fork.)  It was a very special day for us!

We hiked the Y in Provo with our friends the Monson's. It was good weather and good company. And after a soak in the hot tub, our legs felt a little less sore.

After my ankle surgery in August, I made a goal to run a 5K again someday.   And today I did it!  Woo-hoo! It wasn't my best time ever, but I met my two goals for the day: #1 - Finish the race without stopping.  #2 - Do it in 30 minutes.  My time was 30:02, so I was 2 seconds over my goal, but I'm ok with that.  Next time I'll do even better.  I'm just happy I'm not in a wheelchair!!

He is at that age when he interacts with the TV. I love it!

We frequently have to stop at a train crossing on the way to school, and the kids have always wanted to know what it's like to ride that train.  So over Spring Break, my mom treated us to a ride on the Frontrunner.  We only went from Lehi to Provo, about 26 minutes, but the experience was just right for us.  We caught the train to Provo, walked a few blocks to Provo Town Center, had lunch at the food court, then took the train back to our car in Lehi.  Makin' memories.

I made this sign to help remind me and my family whom we should serve and honor. The lettering was tedious, but actually my favorite part of the project. I think I should put some embellishment on the bottom too. Maybe I will.

It's Spring Break this week so we are enjoying our time to just hang out.

We've been looking for a van for many months. I enjoy looking at cars so it wasn't a chore, but it was getting frustrating because we couldn't find what we wanted for the price we wanted. Finally we came across this one. We took it for a drive and bought it the next day, and we are excited about it. Of course we had to remove those U stickers right away. The Ragnar sticker I'm going to keep for a little while. All the Ragnar glory, none of the Ragnar pain. It's a good deal.
