I Love to See the Temples

We were lucky to go to Califonia for Fall break, and even luckier to get to go to Legoland! The kids have always wanted to go there, so it was pretty fun for them.

I reached my goal to run a race on my birthday. I made pretty good time, too. I'm really glad! Ephraim surprised me at the finish line.  I didn't expect him to be there at all! Ella and Isaac made birthday cakes for me. Best birthday in 40 years!

This girls is the glue that holds us all together. And this boy is the middle kid who makes us laugh all the time!

Isaac went to the temple for the first time. It was exciting for us all. We had a few hurdles to jump to get there.  Then we discovered Ella's recommend had just expired. So Isaac when with Ephraim while I took Ella home and came back to meet them there.  It was such a great experience. And it was even better with a Krispy Kreme donut.

I caught this picture after family prayer the other night.  These boys most resemble their father.  And I bet this is what they'll look like in the future. It's funny they were all wearing red shirts.

On Labor Day we explored a nearby town called Fountain Hills. Its famous for a fountain that shoots water 300' up. There's also a great musical exhibit at the park where you can play many kinds of chimes. It was a nice day to explore, grab some lunch, and be back home just minutes later.

It cracks me up when she pretends to sleep. She does it every time we pull in the garage and I want to take her out of her car seat. She thinks it's so funny to trick me into thinking she's asleep, and then she suddenly wakes up. Here she's "asleep" on the coffee table with her favorite baby doll.
