I Love to See the Temples

This week we've had Fall Break, and it's been so fun to spend so much lazy time together. We had a pet this week!  Ginger is the class pet for one of the kids, and we signed up to keep her over the break.  She's been a really easy pet.  She squeaks when she's hungry or thirsty, and she's pretty cute.  Maybe someday we'll get a guinea pig of our own. This little guy also lost his first tooth!  He's 7 1/2 years old and still has all his baby teeth!  He's been pretty eager to lose a tooth and finally it happened.  He was so excited to get a visit from the tooth fairy.  "But she didn't leave a note." Oops, we'll have to ask her to do that next time. We took a hike in Usury Park.  It was a short hike for the kids, but there was a nice view at the top, and a great park at the end. (We forgot baby's hat, so we improvised with a pair of pants.) This guy got a cut on his knee. He was brave about it. ...

Mr. 5th Grade wanted to be a vending machine for Halloween. His costume has been a big project, but he's super happy with how it's turning out. Have a look. Some of the candy is in the fridge bc it was melting but it'll fit in nicely. He wanted to really sell the snacks, but making it all function for real went beyond our costume making skills. Im guessing he'll be the only vending machine walking around Halloween night :)

Sneak peek from photography buddy I love these girls!

We had a photo shoot yesterday at the temple.  I know "Temples at the temple! We were in the right place!!" (Never heard that one before.) Anyway, before our photographer buddy showed up we took a few pictures with the old tripod & timer trick.  They're not the best. It was pretty tricky trying to get everyone to smile at the same time. But it was fun, and all pictures of my family make me smile. 

It's fun to have such cuteness in our house.

We went to a Lulu Roe party on Saturday. It was fun! The clothes were all cute fabrics and comfy styles, and there were some great dresses for twirling. If they need a beautiful young model I think we've got just the girl.
